What we collect
Two things, and nothing else.
What you give us. When you submit the estimate form, the contact form, call, or email, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the city or address where the work would happen, the service you picked, and anything you write in the message field. You choose what to put in those fields.
What your browser reports. This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. Those tools record which pages you visited, roughly where in the world you were, what device and browser you used, which site you arrived from, and a cookie identifier that lets Google recognise a returning browser. They do not record your name, and we never connect analytics data to a specific person.
Why we collect it
To answer you. A quote request needs a phone number and an address, or we cannot walk your line and cannot price the job. We also use what you send to schedule the visit, write the quote, follow up on it, and keep a record of work we have done for you.
The analytics data tells us which pages people actually read and where the site confuses them. That is all it is for.
How we contact you
If you send us a request, we will reply by phone, text, or email about that request. We do not run marketing text campaigns, and we do not add you to a newsletter you did not ask for. Tell us to stop and we stop.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, and we do not trade it with other contractors.
It is handled by the companies that run parts of this business for us: the service that hosts this website, the service that delivers form submissions to our inbox, our email provider, and Google Analytics. Each of them sees only what it needs to do its job. Beyond that, we would disclose information only if the law required it.
Cookies and analytics, and how to turn them off
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete them from your browser settings, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics entirely at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking them does not break anything on this site.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and job records stay in our files while they are useful for warranty questions, repeat work, and our own accounting. Analytics data ages out on Google's retention schedule. If you want your information deleted sooner, ask.
Your choices
Email landonmick@trusted-fence.com or call (801) 341-9099 and ask us to show you what we have, correct it, or delete it. We will do it. You do not need to explain why, and we do not charge for it.
Children
This site is for people hiring a fence contractor. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Other sites
We link out to our Google Business Profile, our Facebook page, and manufacturer pages for the products we install. Once you follow one of those links, that company's privacy policy applies, not ours.
Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, but no website or email system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise. Do not send payment card numbers or identification documents through the forms on this site.
Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
