WHY CHOOSE US

Why Salt Lake City
homeowners call us first.

We Show Up When We Say We Will

No ghosting, no chasing us for a callback. You get a real start date, and we're there on it. With the crew, not a voicemail. That's what real customer service looks like for a Salt Lake City home.

You Don't Pay Until It's Right

Half down to start, the rest only when it's done and you're happy with it. Licensed and insured throughout, so you're never handing the full amount to fence contractors who might not come back.

Built for Canyon Wind, Not Just Good Weather

Every post is set in concrete, not tamped dirt, with gate posts sunk deeper than line posts. That's the difference between a fence that leans after one gust and one that doesn't, and it's why local fence professionals set posts deeper here than the manual calls for.

Not Happy? We Make It Right.

Every install ends with a full walk-through and cleanup. Old fence hauled away, site left cleaner than we found it. If something's off, we fix it before we call it done.

Trusted Fence Company was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend. Landon was very responsive with coordinating everything. He came out quickly to evaluate the fence problem I had, reviewed multiple options, gave me a fair price, and completed the job quickly. I’m very pleased with the work done.

BEYOND THE STANDARD LINE

Fencing with a purpose.

Some fences solve a specific problem: a pool code, a digging dog, deer off the east bench. These are those fences.

Black chain-link sport court enclosure around a backyard basketball court in Salt Lake City

Sport Court Fencing

Basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts need fencing that takes a ball at speed and keeps it in play. We build black chain-link and framed enclosures sized to the sport and tensioned tight, so the game stays on the court instead of in the neighbor's yard.

Cedar double drive gate we built across a driveway

Gates

A fence is only as good as the gate in it, and a gate that sags, drags, or freezes shut in January is the thing you'll curse every single day. We install walk gates, double drive gates, and automatic access across Salt Lake City, with posts set deeper than the fence line and frames braced square so they stay true. If you're tired of lifting your gate to latch it, that's exactly what we fix.

Freshly stained two-tone privacy fence along a Salt Lake City street

Staining, Sealing & Painting

Utah's high-altitude sun grays a cedar fence in about two summers, and a good finish is what stops it. We clean, brighten, and then stain, seal, or paint your fence so the color you paid for actually lasts, quoted up front instead of left to chance. We finish fences across the Salt Lake Valley, the ones we built and the ones we didn't, so a line worth keeping keeps its color for years rather than seasons.

Custom cedar fence with mountain backdrop

Custom Fencing & Design

A sloped lot, five odd corners, an HOA with opinions: some properties don't fit a catalog fence, and forcing one on them shows immediately. We design and build custom fencing to your actual property line: your grade, your materials, your restrictions, with drawings when the association needs them. One crew handles it from first sketch to final post, anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley.

Tall white vinyl privacy fence built by Trusted Fence in Salt Lake City

Privacy Fencing

A privacy fence solves one problem: sightlines. No gaps between boards, panels run tall enough to block a neighbor's second story, and posts set deep enough that a Wasatch windstorm doesn't put pressure on the one line that's supposed to be solid. We build privacy fencing in wood, vinyl, and composite, sized and spaced to your yard, not a standard kit.

WHAT WE BUILD

Six materials.
One standard.

All services
Cedar wood fence panel
01 · WOOD

Wood Fence Installation

Western red cedar is still the Wasatch classic, warm, private, and at home against the mountains. But at this altitude, sun and freeze-thaw punish wood that's built wrong: shallow posts heave in winter and unsealed boards gray out in about two summers. We set every post in concrete, build board-on-board, shadowbox, or picket to your spec, and quote stain-and-seal up front so nothing surprises you later.

White vinyl fence panel
02 · VINYL

Vinyl Fence Installation

Vinyl is the no-upkeep answer: no paint, no rot, no staining, and a garden hose is the entire maintenance plan. The catch is that cheap panels chalk and warp under Utah's high-UV sun, which is why we install UV-inhibited, tongue-and-groove panels in white and almond that are warrantied not to fade. Panels rack with your grade, so sloped valley lots get a clean bottom line instead of stair-stepped gaps.

Black chain link fence panel
03 · CHAIN LINK

Chain Link Fence Installation

Chain link is the workhorse, the most fence per dollar you can put around a yard, a dog run, or a commercial lot. We install galvanized and vinyl-coated chain link from four to twelve feet, tensioned properly so the mesh stays drum-tight instead of bagging in the canyon wind. It goes up fast, needs nothing afterward, and our per-foot pricing is written down before we start a single post hole.

Black aluminum horizontal-slat privacy fence panel
04 · ALUMINUM

Aluminum Fence Installation

Aluminum gives you the ornamental look without the ornamental maintenance, powder-coated, rust-proof, and rackable so it follows your slope without cutting panels. It's the fence that passes pool code while keeping your mountain view, which is why it's all over the valley's east side. Panels install quickly with minimal disruption to landscaping, and we spec height and picket spacing to your code requirements in the estimate.

Black ornamental iron fence panel
05 · IRON

Ornamental Iron & Steel Fence Installation

Welded steel pickets are the fence you buy once (ornamental iron and steel are the same product here): real security and permanence, with enough transparency to keep the view you paid for. We build ornamental iron with spear or flat tops, custom heights for east-bench deer pressure, and estate gates to match. Every panel is powder-coated against Utah winters and every post is set plumb in concrete. Iron shows every shortcut, so we don't take any.

Avimore composite fence panel, dark brown woodgrain with black posts
06 · COMPOSITE

Composite Fence Installation

Composite (SimTek, Trex, and Avimore) gives you the woodgrain look with none of the wood problems: no fading, no warping, no staining, and enough mass to noticeably dampen road noise. It's rated against exactly what Salt Lake throws at a fence: high UV, freeze-thaw, and wind. It costs more per foot than cedar or vinyl up front, and we'll show you that math honestly against the zero-maintenance payoff.

Landon Mickelson, owner of Trusted Fence, in branded gear on a job site LANDON MICKELSON · OWNER & ESTIMATOR

Your local fence experts.

Trusted Fence is built around one idea: you should never have to wonder if we're coming back. Landon, the owner, walks your line and writes every quote himself. You're talking to the person who runs the company, not a call center reading a script. From there, an experienced crew of fence installers and fence professionals builds it right: every post set in concrete, gate posts deeper still, the way Utah weather actually demands. Our pros show up on the day we say we will, and every project starts with a real walk of your line, not a drive-by guess. Half the payment starts the work; the rest is due only when your home has the fence you were promised. When the crew leaves, the old fence and every scrap of debris leave with them. It's backed by a one-year workmanship warranty, and if something's off before that, we fix it before we call it done.

BEFORE YOU CALL

Common questions.

How much does a new fence cost in Salt Lake City? +

It depends on material and footage. Chain link costs the least per foot, cedar and vinyl sit in the middle, and ornamental iron and composite are the premium end. Height, grade, gates, and old-fence teardown move the number too. That's why we quote in person, for free: you get an itemized, written price for your actual yard, and it's locked. We don't run gimmick offers or "today-only" discounts to get a signature: the number you sign is the number you pay.

Do you charge to come out and look at my project? +

No. Estimates are free and there's no trip fee. We walk your property line, measure it, talk through materials, and put a number in writing. You pay nothing unless you decide to build.

How fast can you get my fence installed? +

We respond to every call and form the same day, and your quote includes a real start window, and it is one we hold. Once we're on site, most residential fences go up in one to three days depending on footage and material.

Will my HOA allow the fence I want? +

Height and material restrictions are common across Salt Lake Valley HOAs, and we deal with them constantly. Tell us your HOA and we'll spec the fence to match its rules, and give you the drawings and material sheets you need for approval before anything is ordered.

Can you install a fence in winter? +

Usually, yes. Utah's freeze-thaw cycle is exactly why post depth matters. We set posts in concrete year-round so they don't heave in spring. Deep frozen ground can occasionally push a start date, and if it will, we'll tell you straight instead of doing it wrong.

What if I'm not happy with the work? +

We make it right. Every job ends with a walk-through against a simple standard: plumb, level, square, site cleaned. If something's off, we fix it before final payment. After that, your install is backed by our satisfaction guarantee.
